The Amanda DeSarro Memorial Golf Classic was a huge success for the second year in a row. It was a beautiful, sunny day with so many special people helping out in honor and remembrance of Amanda!!! The committee is made up of 8 of the most compassionate, kind, considerate, dedicated and hard-working people I know!! I would like to thank Aunt Jane, Joanie Juszczak, Pam Brophey, Janet Lucas, Lisa Auer, Anne Boley, Amelia Cicone, and Tami Drago. Without these 8 special people, Amanda's scholarship would not be possible. They have devoted many hours of their time again this summer, to ensure that the outing is the huge success that is it!! This year we made roughly $10,000 to add to the scholarship, bringing the total to over $44,000 in just over one year, to help keep Amanda's beautiful spirit alive!!! I would also like to thank the many generous businesses, companies, and individuals who sponsored the golf outing, Doug & Jodi Hoppel, and all the golfers for participating!! It's always great to see friends and people who love Amanda, out there golfing in her memory!! It gives me a chance to talk with them and remember the good times. There are also so many volunteers that helped out in setting up and working that day! Without the time and hard work by those volunteers, again the outing would not be the success that it is! Words alone are not enough to thank family and friends for what they have done in honor of Amanda. When you lose a child, one of your biggest fears is that she will not be remembered. These special people have worked very hard to ensure that Amanda's memory and beautiful spirit will live on forever!! For that, I am grateful beyond words!! God Bless all who helped, participated, or just came out to visit...I love you all and have a very special place in my heart for all of you!!!!!
